Our main concern at the moment friends is not those ever increasing gas fuel costs but the virtually irreversible changes in the environment due to our carbon footprint being left on this planet which is causing global warming. We may be different in many respects but when the effects start to be felt, we will all come under attack from a new enemy. A large number of cases of life threatening conditions such as skin cancer, lung cancer, and other respiratory diseases into the millions will be the result of 40 years of global warming.
Our own personal carbon footprint contribution needs to be our main priority in life from now on and not only for the negative aspects but also positive ones, as there is so much that we too can do to help the environment. A great example to get you started would be to just plant a tree as this would help to offset about 720 kg of carbon during it’s lifespan, where as taking a plane from New York to Washington would put almost 800 kg of carbon back into the environment.
On average a Non Alien produces an amazing 22 tons of co2 emissions each and every year. Now let’s compare that with the rest of the civilized world, who have managed to reduce their co2 emissions to just 6 tons per person per year. I am not suggesting that we have to give up our car culture but you need to be made aware of some of the things that you can do to reduce your carbon footprint: -
Tip #1: Buy local. “Carbon cost” is added to virtually everything within the consumer society. You have to take into account transportation, distance and the amount of energy that is consumed in the final delivery of a product to it’s point of sale. Recent U.S. Department of Agriculture studies show that the majority of fruit and vegetables have to be transported an average of 1500 miles from the farm up to the kitchen table. This is a complete and utter waste of resources, so do your bit and buy local farm produce.
Tip #2: Dress appropriately. Well I mean why don’t we just dress according to more acceptable temperatures. Reduce the thermostat if it’s cold and put on a sweater and when it’s hot put the thermostat up a bit and take off your shirt. These small hardships will help reduce 2,000 pounds of co2 every year as well as high savings on energy costs. This is all in aid of helping our planet remember, so please make an effort.
Tip #3: Old stuff out: Here we are looking at energy savings and did you know that changing 3 traditional Edison light bulbs for new low energy-efficient CFLs would result in energy savings amounting to $60 per year. The most important benefit though would be that collectively the whole planet could save a trillion pounds of CO2 from being let out into our crippling environment. Energy Star rated PCs and other electrical appliances will also help you make further energy savings and always remember to turn the lights off as you leave a room.
Tip #4: Keep it clean. A poorly maintained car can add to global warming 500% more than a normal vehicle, and it costs money too. Keep air and fuel filters clean, replace fouled spark plugs and injectors, and get regular tune ups. And shop locally when you do drive, not at a discount store 50 miles away.
Tip #5: Improve gas mileage. Drive a hybrid car or install an alternative energy booster like water fuel or HHO gas technology in your existing car. You will see mileage increases of up to 40%, and cut your carbon footprint in half.
Everybody on the planet has a personal responsibility to stop the destruction that will, if left unchecked, effect us all. If we begin now, it’ll be a much better world for our children and grandchildren.

If you're new here, you may first want to get a copy of my information and resources jam packed handbook on your right. Thanks for visiting!
Earth is getting hotter and hotter because of the car carbon dioxide emission coming from our consumption of fossil fuels. It is necessary to find alternative fuel for car as one of the possible practical solutions to global warming, control environment pollution and cut back monthly fuel expenses. You can also get alternative fuel vehicle tax incentive.
Big oil companies have an undeniable influence in world economics and politics, it may be difficult to do something concrete about lowering our carbon emission levels as well as finding good sources of alternative fuel.
Using water with gasoline to improve car engine efficiency was discovered way back in 1920. In this case, oxygen will be emitted instead of carbon dioxide. Like any new concept, there are debates with run car with water technology. There are several successful cases around the world, where people converted their car to run on distilled or tap water. Success of these people confirmed that you could run your car with plain tap water. If you use water as alternative fuel for your car, you will increase your car mileage, reduce engine temperature and carbon emission.
What run car with water technology?
You need to install an inexpensive hydrogen gas conversion kit in your car’s engine that will allow the electricity generated by the batteries to burn water and release the hydrogen component of water.
Hydrogen is a very powerful gas. When a quart of water is electrolyzed to release the hydrogen and make it turn into a gas that can be used as an alternative fuel. The end product is called HHO or Brown’s Gas. The kit is called hydrogen conversion kit. HHO as an alternative fuel is also clean and safe.
How to run car on water
There are several guides are available on how to build hho gas convert kit using simple tap water. Some of them are very costly and some of them are cheap. I do recommend you to follow some affordable and reliable guide, which has a good support network.

If you regularly watch television, surf the internet, or listen to the radio, there is a good chance that you have heard about global warming. Press and media outlets have elevated the issue in the public consciousness through their increased coverage. There is a great deal of debate that surrounds the subject and you may be right to be concerned. The potential exists that, if the predictions come true, Earth will be a frightening and unsafe place for our family members of the future.
You can still help your planet in the fight against global warming in simple ways that are not expensive. In recent years, too much of the main focus of the efforts has been on energy efficient vehicles and appliances. There are far more affordable ways to help.
In order to prevent global warming, simply pay attention to the way your home is run. Not having your electric running when it is not in use is one such way. This is a great way to prevent future problems and save money at the same time.
Reducing electrical usage by turning off all the lights and appliances is simple. This is not only a free way to help out, but you can also save money at the same time! Also try turning down the thermostat and warm yourself by wearing a little more clothing on chilly days. Just a few degrees can make all the difference.
By getting rid of the old standard light bulbs, and replacing them with energy efficient ones, you can also help. In addition, this simple step will also be another money-saving way you can help out the environment. Many traditional light bulbs have to be replaced frequently, but energy efficient ones last for at least a year or two without needing to be replaced. Depending on where you shop, you may be able to buy these lights for around five dollars per multi-pack.
The contributions to combating global warming are not constricted to homeowners, as renters can help to. If you feel cold air sneaking into your house when it shouldn’t, speak to your landlord about making window repairs. Though many people hesitate to bring items such as the hot water heater or insulating blanket up to their landlord, these tips can result in saving him or her money in the long run.
Conclusion
You can easily accomplish the ability to be environmentally friendly with your transportation without making a major investment in an energy efficient vehicle. For many, we drive because we want to but don’t actually need to. Could you walk, join a carpool, or take public transportation instead? Leave the car at home at least three times a week, and you can do your part in fighting global warming.

For a long time, money used for good will was called charity, while money used to make more money was called investing. No more.
Nowadays, the two ideas are combining into a financial area called socially responsible investing. And both investors and mutual fund managers are figuring out that this new idea can be very rewarding, as well as do some good for the environment and society.
“Socially responsible investing means you don’t have to compromise your own personal beliefs to make money on Wall Street — whatever those beliefs are,” said Bob Guthrie, an investment broker with A.G. Edwards in Burlington, Vt.
Even back in the early 1900’s the idea of choosing investments for social reasons occurred when church members formed together and refused to invest in tobacco or alcohol companies. Guthrie also says that the trend has continued with investors dodging corporations associated with the Vietnam War or companies investing in South Africa. And that trend continues today with investors selecting companies that are more environmentally friendly over those that are not.
So, yes, growth in this type of investing has ballooned during the past few years as more and more investors have moved social consciousness into the main street of investing. And the impact of this trend is being felt.
Rob Kruger, vice president of portfolio management at Progressive Asset Management says that with help from stockholders, business practices concerning the environment are starting to change. He said while the issues may vary, companies are realizing they will suffer if they aren’t viewed as being socially and environmentally responsible.
Kruger said, “As this investing community continues to grow, a lot of proposals are being addressed by investors at annual shareholder meetings. A whole spectrum of issues and activities is now being put forward.”
As part of its operation, Progressive Asset Management conducts research for socially responsible and eco-friendly mutual funds. The firm screens companies for environmental problems or nuclear involvement… whatever social issues their clients want investigated.
“As time flies, companies are becoming more and more cooperative with us,” Kruger said. “Many of them are now very eager to talk about these social and environmental issues.”
Guthrie agrees that business practices are changing and says American corporations are aware of stockholders who are concerned with the environment.
“Make sure your hard-earned capital is not invested in companies with little concern for the environment,” he advises. “Be sure to keep these things in mind when you invest and companies will too.”
